What We Do:

At Player First Games, we're passionate about crafting unforgettable online gaming experiences that captivate players worldwide. As a VFX Artist, you'll be a key player in this mission, wielding your artistic prowess to create:

Spellbinding particle effects: Design, generate, and implement stunning 2D/3D particle effects that bring your favorite characters' abilities to life.

Eye-catching FX Shaders: Craft captivating shaders using node-based networks, adding depth and dimension to every visual element.

Textures that Tell a Story: Develop captivating FX textures for color, alpha, dissolve, and more, weaving visual narratives into every effect.

Geometry with a Purpose: Create simple geometry and assign UVs, ensuring seamless integration into the MultiVersus universe.

Performance Perfection: Optimize your creations for peak framerate and memory efficiency, ensuring a smooth and thrilling gameplay experience.

 

Who You Are:

  • A Team Player: You thrive in collaborative environments, sharing ideas, providing constructive feedback, and working together to achieve shared goals.
  • A Visual Virtuoso: Your keen eye for detail, lighting, color, and composition guides you in crafting stunning VFX that enhance gameplay and captivate audiences.
  • A Master of the Craft: You possess at least 3 years of experience in the games industry, ideally with AAA game credits under your belt.
  • Unreal Engine Guru: You're an expert in Unreal Engine 4 or equivalent, wielding its power to bring your VFX visions to life.
  • Shape Master: You have a deep understanding of colors, shapes, and timing, using these elements to create impactful and engaging effects.
  • 3D Software Savvy: You're proficient in Maya or another equivalent 3D software, breathing life into your VFX creations.
  • Photoshop Pro: You're a master of Photoshop or another photo editing software, crafting textures and visuals with precision.
 

Bonus Points:

  • Shipped an AAA console/PC title as an FX artist.
  • Possess a strong understanding of artistic fundamentals like color theory, visual design, and composition.
  • Boast exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a keen eye for observation and a talent for using reference materials.
 

We Offer:
