As a UX/UI Designer Lead at Player First Games, you will:

What you will do

Lead Responsibilities

  • Provide the UX/UI team with creative direction, curating and approving all UX/UI deliverables as the primary stakeholder for UX/UI design.
  • Use strategically relevant artifacts to present and validate your designs and to other stakeholders and team members
  • Provide art direction for senior and mid level UX/UI artists in creating bespoke assets including UI icons, minor cosmetics, and logos with Adobe CC and Figma
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally with pods and sprint teams consisting of artists, designers, producers, and engineers
  • Make critical decisions for designers on balancing UX priorities across multiple agile teams
  • Work closely with engineers and designers to implement game-ready visuals and various assets in UE5

Technical Responsibilities and Outputs

  • Produce data-informed UX deliverables that are exemplary of intuitive navigation of menu systems and player journeys
  • Build wireframes, prototypes, and presentations as needed for proof of concept and implementation within Figma
  • Convert UX wireframes into high-fidelity deliverables with additional artifacts using Adobe CC/Figma
  • Maintain and support our design system, establishing guidelines and best practices across Figma and UE5
  • Ensure all designs align with UX/UI guidelines, business goals, and visual accessibility standards
  • Convert final UI elements into assets with motion design

What we are looking for

  • 4-6 years experience designing digital experiences, products, and platforms as a User Experience Designer and/or User Interface Artist
  • Experience as a team or project leader in UX/UI or relevant positions.
  • Expert knowledge and experience working in Unreal Engine 5 and CommonUI
  • Experience with Figma for designing, building design systems, and prototyping 
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite for visual design

 Nice to have

  • Proficiency with motion graphics
  • Knowledge about online player vs player behaviors, current digital trends, and evolving player expectations
  • Experience in Unreal Engine's Widget Blueprint and CommonUI

  • Estimated base pay range for this position:  $170,000 -$190,000
